Inclusive Arabic Language Learning Platform for College Students

UNIVERSITAS NEGERI MAKASSAR is one of the largest universities in Indonesia, specifically located in South Sulawesi. This university is known for producing many high-quality educators in Indonesia.

Problem

Arabic language learning at Universitas Negeri Makassar relied on a one-size-fits-all approach that didn't accommodate students with different learning needs. The Faculty of Arabic Language Education wanted a digital tool that made learning genuinely inclusive, not just digital for the sake of it.

Process

As Project Manager and UI/UX Designer, I worked directly with the heads of the Arabic Language Education faculty to translate their pedagogical goals into an accessible digital experience. This included building in audio and visual support so students with different learning styles could engage with the material in whatever way worked best for them.

Outcome

From One-Size-Fits-All to Inclusive Learning

Adopted by the Arabic Language Education program to support students with diverse learning needs.
