Monza: Analytics Dashboard with an AI Assistant for Horeca Owners

MONZA is a pre-seed startup building a modern, iPad-native POS system for independent hospitality businesses that want simplicity without sacrificing capability, paired with a smart AI layer.

Problem

Café owners using Monza had no simple way to understand how their business was actually performing. Reading raw sales data took time these non-technical, hands-on operators didn't have. Monza wanted a way to surface what mattered and let owners ask follow-up questions, without digging through reports themselves.

Process

Working directly with Monza's founders, I designed a modular, iPad-native dashboard from scratch, built around KPI tiles, sales trend charts, and top-product breakdowns that stay easy to scan even under pressure, paired with an AI assistant that lets owners ask questions about their business in plain language. As usability testing surfaced new needs, like giving owners a clear signal of whether a shift was currently active, I brought those findings into a redesigned version of the dashboard.

Outcome

From Raw Numbers to a Dashboard Owners Actually Understand

Delivered a touch-friendly analytics dashboard paired with a conversational AI layer, then evolved it further based on real usage findings. The redesigned version has been approved by the team and is next in line for development.
